Suspect

That is not what it is at all.

The numbers are for the generation of quick release they offer. Just like Accord have 4th gen, 5th gen, etc.....NRG defines their quick releases as 1.0 through 3.0

The 2.0 features a simple ring used to pull the quick release and steering wheel off

The 2.5 (which i have and LOVE) features a flared ring to pull the quick release and steering wheel off

The 3.0 features a paddle ring (looks like newer style paddle shifters) to pull the quick release and wheel off

Here are some pics. Look at the ring. This is the part you pull to get the wheel off. They all work the same, its just the matter of convenience and how much you are willing to pay for it

NRG 2.0 (flat ring)

nrg quick release Nrg20

NRG 2.5 (flared ring)

nrg quick release NRG-QR2.5-BLK_1

NRG 3.0 (paddle ring)

nrg quick release Nrg_qr3

All of the above quick release setups will work with the industry standard 6 bolt steering wheels

I didn't think it was a joke, I thought you were serious! Oh well, now that we have that issue solved Laughing

I want a new quick release setup. My 300mm wheel is too small :/
