I picked the old wagon up rust free for $650, with a transmission problem.
Thinking it was a simple fix, I ordered new solenoides, but that didnt fix the problem.
The car sat for along time at my parents house. While it was sitting, it got slammed on a set of Function and Form Type ones, something like a 4" drop all around. I did nothing with the car after that, untill my Dad dropped it off in my backyard in November. As he was getting off the trailer, he ripped the front bumper off. Tore all the clips and everything.
I have since then bought all brand new tools from Craftsman. Went to a junkyard and got a used transmission, its in the car, just not finished. I also made a custom OEM grill, amber coner lights, and OEM replacement bumper. The car is buried in snow at the moment, and dont know when she will be finished. At tax time, I am looking into low offset rims. The start of along project, and I havent even drove her yet.
Heres when I first picked her up.
Ordered Function and Form Type Ones.
Lowered the front over four inches.
Wasnt able to lower the rear, the rear lower mount bushings were rusted.
Replaced those lower mount bushings, lowered it over four inches.
How she sat for a few months.
Fall shot.
Up at my place, the bumper didnt make the it off the trailer.
Started to work on getting the trans out.
Old trans out, first snow. It was very light and melted.
New trans in, just not hooked up and ready to go yet.
New bumper cover, custom grill, and amber corners.
