the little holes on the bottom of the stock lip. that u go into to unscrew it, one got stuck on the stake that holds the bumpstop in the ground, i couldnt get it off and i backed up and ripped off my bumper, luckily it didnt rip any of the tabs it just pulled out the screws. cus the bumper was put on like the day before.

open hood, take off your grill, there is 2 screws on the bottom side of the bumper. one at each end near the wheel well. take those out, there are like up in the wheel well fender liner. take out both corner lights by unscrewing the top screw that connects to the headlight. pull them out, make sure you take out the bulb. then you will see a bumper clip under them. unscrew that, sometimes you ahve to stick a screwdriver underneath and kinda pry it up while unscrewing. then there are 3 under where the grill was. now the tricky part, if your bumper has never been removed there is 2 bumper clips under each headlight. you will have to adjust your headlights as high as they will go, and take some needle nose pliers and rip them out. theres no way to put them back in. now slide the bumper away, not too fast because you need to take out the turn signal bulbs. then your left with your impact absorber, it has styrafome taped to it. i recomend wearing gloves. very easily remove the styrafome. you will then need to remove the impact absorber, you will need alan wrenches. there is 2 bolts in the front that are easily recognizable. they are round, then right underneath them there are 2 more pointing forward. you need to remove all 4. then slide the absorber away. now you will have the bracket in view. just unbolt where it is connected. there are 2 on top at the radiator support. then there is one under where your grill was. and another near where your corner lights were. do this backwards to place back together. like i said the 2 clips under each light you WILL NOT be able to get in. make sure you light your bumper up correctly with each wheel well

| Orrrrrrrrr just remove the whole entire bumper and bumper support
-Pop hood -Take out grill (4 screws) -Remove 1 screw at each wheel well (1 each side) -Remove bumper signals (1 screw each light) -Remove 2 bolts behind bumper lights that attach bumper support to frame -Remove 4-6 push screws underneath bumper that hold it to frame
-Pull the bumper and bumper support off
-Refer to josh's post on how to go from here. This part^ however, is easier than taking off just the bumper cover

All of this sounds very brutal My method doesn't involve any prying, ripping, applying unnecessary pressure to headlights, wearing of gloves, and everything in my write up is 100% able to be put back the way it came But....yours is better

But....yours is better ' sometimes the screws dont unscrew right away thats why u have to get something under them to push them up a little to the thread. and the bumper screws under the light you can not get to. and are impossible to get back in. body shops dont even put them in. and the gloves is for the fiberglass to save your hands some pain.

| Joker, I would highly recommend the first time you do this swap.....to use MY tutorial and write up and just take the whole bumper AND bumper support off After you have everything off and laying around, go ahead and remove the push clips that hold the bumper in place that sit underneath the headlights. Leave the ones that sit underneath the grill. If you remove the correct push clips, the NEXT time you need to pull that pesky bumper off, you can go ahead and use JOSH's write up since the push clips will already be removed and you will not have to pry, pull, or push anything to get the bumper cover off Just contributing my Good Luck! | |
