Matthiessen State Park Meet (Starved Rock) - Nov 5th

here is the date for all u guys

We have been given permission to hold our 5th annual Central IL meet at
MATTHIESSEN STATE PARK
this year.



The parking lot area is much more open, albeit divided; but we will not be in the way of all the locals/visitors as it is a much less visited location. We were here the second year the meet was done and we had much less hassling from the PD. One thing to note however: DO NOT PARK IN THE GRASS! That was the only thing I recall the conservation police being upset about. I made that mistake the second year and they threatened to tow my car, even though I had left to grab lunch in town in another members vehicle. (BTW Thanks to those who moved it!)

Keep in mind that this is a meet at a state park, and conservation cops do not mess around. Please clean up any mess that you leave and be respectful of the park so we can continue this for years to come! NO ASSHATTERY AT THE PARK! Minus the dipshit 240 the first year, this really hasn't been a problem, but again we must be respectful to continue this meet into the future. Anyways, on to the specifics...

WHERE: MATTHIESSEN STATE PARK, UTICA IL
DATE: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH
TIME: 11 AM TO 5 PM

Here is an image of the park location in proximity to Starved Rock. It is roughly 3 miles south of Starved Rock and still in very close proximity to the twisties.

IF YOU PLAN TO DRIVE ON THE TWISTIES SCOPE IT OUT FIRST! DONT BE STUPID. AND REMEMBER THIS IS A LOCAL ROAD WITH OTHER CARS ON IT!

It's for everyone. Last year there were probably 50+ cars. All different kinds of imports

They can't give a ticket to out of state cars where the state doesn't provide a front plate. When you register a vehicle in Indiana, you only get one license plate....for the back

Illinois is so strict on car laws. When I moved from IL to IN, it was like changing laws completely. Indiana has everyone with dark tint, no front plates, super loud turbo diesel trucks that pillow out black smoke, etc. Indiana just seems more relaxed with automotive laws I guess.

prolly because indiana is such a huge "car" state. along with michigan

i love our state, no inspections, no enforced exhaust laws, no real enforced tint laws. our tint law is 25% for cars 20% for suvs/trucks.... and i sit at a cool 18% never got a ticket., also no front plates, the only things the cops are assholes fora round here is speeding, hid colors, and noise violations.

well every1 must love me cuz ive gotten pulled over for sounds 3 times, colored hid 2 times, tints 4 times, speeding like 6 times, burning out like 4 times, loud exhaust like 3 times, loud music, bright lights, running red lights and stop signs, going down 1 way streets and not 1 ticket

nice. only things ive been pulled over for is running a stop sign, and speeding (at least 10 times). most the cops were cool and they just told me to slow down and didnt ticket me.

Both my car and my step fathers car ('05 Roush Mustang) have 5% tint out back. Neither have ever been pulled over in Indiana. I have however (when my tint was 5% back and the car was registered in IL) been pulled over in Illinois

I drive through Illinois about once a month nowadays and in 3 years have never been pulled over for tint/plates with having 5% back/20% front and no front plate. It's nice
