| What up guys! Stoked to find this midwest alliance! I'm from Lake County Il and i swear i never come across a cb, cd, etc.... Cant wait for the summer meets. In mean time heres my rides 1992 dx Mods include Kyb Agx adjustable struts Skunk 2 coilsprings Ingalls camber kit Nuespeed short shifter Short ram intake 8000k hid kit 1993 Accord EX front lip Straight pipe from the downpipe back "bought it like that" Cherry Bomb Turbo Muffler Gutted interior Future plans are to go turbo, so as of right now any engine work is merely prep for when i get the money to go turbo i.e. timing belt, new gaskets etc. my goal date for that is some where within the year and a half mark from this date. I still have massive amounts of learning and saving before that can become a reality. 1991 lx Mods include 8000k hids vht nightshades taillights OEM Factory speed Midwest FTW | |

| I was referred from a member on cb7tuner.com not sure what he goes by on here, but on cb7tuner he's "Jin". This is prolly the wrong section but i'll ask anyway cuz i'm a NOOB lol. do you guys know of any guys in the works of setting up a meet for this summer in the chicago area? if not, then i am willing to work with you guys that want to set up a meet in the chicago area, or rockford area. really whichever area will bring the biggest crowd. never been to an Accord oriented meet before, so i'm def geared towards that. PM me if anyone wants to talk about it. | |

You came to the right place! There's a thread under Meets Discussion I think where we're throwing around ideas. Suggestions are always welcome! Some of us are always willing to drive.

| Welcome!
If you are looking to set up a meet or join one of ours, the best place with the most active members for a meet would be the near west side of Chicago or Indianapolis. In Chicago area, most of our members that go to meets are around the northern side I believe. Something a little ways just outside of downtown would be a perfect meet spot. We have had rather successful meets at Labagh Woods, Palos Hills, and our biggest one which was up on the far north side near Sheridon Road. There will for sure be a summer meet, most likely more than one, but if you would like you are more than welcome to post up your own meet

don't know anyone besides us haha, but last year a few people from v6 performance.net set up their own lil meet.. while we set up 3 Accord exclusive meets in chicago alone with good to decent turnouts. recently, we were tossing around a few locations in the meets discussion thread. For a big ass Accord meet with chicago people, I'd say axehead lake is the ideal location, though not sure about permits. I'll look forward to talking with you about it soon.. if we have something planned, it can be posted to many Accord forums in a few mouse clicks

| cool, i'm about 50 minutes from downtown, so anywhere in chicago or north suburbs would be prefered for me. I need to hit up my buddy about whats going on with the local meets/races here in waukegan. they always bring a big crowd and a huge variety of cars, it would be awesome to dominate with accords. theres this one old dude who brings up his r32 and silvia sometimes. those cars are soo beautiful. i'll get in contact with some guys and see how willing the are to set up something, but like i said i have no friends with accords, everyone drives civics, evos, and srt4's by me. i'll keep you guys posted on any progress. | |

You said it. my dx has been having dropping idle issues. I'm going to remove my iacv and carb clean the shit out of it, then reset my base idle hopefully that will fix the issue. if anyone has any other suggestions they are welcome. So i set my base idle and still have the same problem, just at a higher idle. so much fun!!!

| idles too high? then idles too low? sounds like you need to time it. wouldnt hurt. edit: btw i asked brandon. whos almost done with school to be an AUTO MECHANIC, not a diesel mechanic, and he agrees - SiRWannabe wrote:

| lol that has nothing to do with timing.. and the LAST thing you ever do is adjust the distributer. Thats the quickest way to destroy an engine if you dont know exactly what your doing Edit* And Josh dont get your panties in a bunch because your giving some not so great advise as to just "wiggle the distributer" and lol @ you thinking there is a whole lotta difference between auto and diesel.. And just so you know I aced my gas engines class and lets not forget the 15+ years I have been working on and with gas engines and cars with my dad and on my own.. I dont know what Brutal knows and doesnt know. He hasnt stated his level of knowledge. So I as a responsible person can only assume in the meantime that he may not have very much knowledge, so im defending against advise that your giving that could drastically damage the engine if he happens to not know what he is doing. Im not arguing with you, im arguing your advise. So calm the hell down | |
