| I found, as pointed out earlier by Israel, some slight rust on the bottom of my passenger quarter panel.
it's comparable to a line drawn by a pencil and has tiny bubbles in the paint. will post pics later.
any advice? should I get that part sanded down a bit, with the bumper removed? | |

| Join the club! Welcome aboard As far as fixing it, how long do you expect to keep the car? More than 2-3 years? Get it fixed. Another year to two? Leave it. Naturally, the earlier you fix it the cheaper. For now, I would definitely keep some touch up paint on it at least every other week. Also, check the edge of your quarter panels. If it has started on the joint between the QP and the bumper, it might also be on the wheel well area. Pull back those black strip things and check | |

| I plan on keeping it for least 5 years more (through grad school) then I'll decide if I'll keep it longer or sell. | |

| Get it fixed. Pronto. They're probably just patch that section and repaint it. Expect high costs from a shop, but if you know someone and can get a hook up, they can do it for really cheap. I got quoted $400 from the guy who painted my new bumper to fix both sides (rust + dent) on my car. Let me know if you would be interested in having me contact him for a quote on yours | |
