I'm gonna request off. How much does it cost to actuallly attend event? And are we all just sharing a hotel or what

Prior events it was $10 to get in. This reserves you a parking spot inside the venue, plus this is good for the entire weekend (sat and sun)

Yes, we will be sharing a hotel. If it isn't all in the same room with the amount of people we have, we will at least try and get them next to each other

I don't think it'll be the same room if we already have 5 people interested plus "guests", but you never know. lol
Just throwing out ideas for people that may want to split a room with others. The more information, the better!
If we can figure out exactly how many people are going soon and can start getting rooms, awesome! But otherwise I'll probably just go ahead and book a room since we'll have a dog with us. lol The last place I posted about last night seems like the best deal to me for what Mike and I need. (Oh, and Leo. )

One thing people need to remember is that you can't just say "Oh yeah I'm in, put me down for a hotel room" and then back out at the last second. Not saying that this will happen, but if for any unforeseen circumstances where you cannot make it, you should still be held liable for paying your part of a room.

We can't make all these plans and have people back out. We need to make sure in advance before we book hotels and make arrangements that we can absolutely without a doubt go. This involves formally putting in for time off of work, realizing you might miss school (if you're a summer school student), plus also talking to the parents/girlfriend/boyfriend (if you roll that way)/whoever wears the pants and make sure you can go.

just saying im down to roll down there with you guys and hang with you guys ppark with you guys there but im gonna camp out there with my whole other group i will be going with down there so im not gonna be in on the hotel camp ground is so much cheaper and alot of fun also hope thats still cool with yall

Well the reason I ask is because I won't know if I can get the weekend off until a couple weeks before. So I don't want to book a room. Then not be able to go. If anyone needs a possible( not garenteed) roomie lmk. I can sleep on the floor if its a bit packed. No big deal to me. Id sleep in the car but not mid summer. Too hot

What time of day Thursday. That woudl require me to request 2 days off. Personally i wouldn't mind leaving early early morning Friday like 3-4am. Then is stay all day Sunday with my girl and visit the beech Monday. Since ill be of work Monday.

Funny how I always always always work every weekend there has been a meet. then I'm off for Ia.

And If I can't get a room to state with other peep I may not be able to go. Or if I do I'm staying at a cheap ass motel

Having been last year where everyone was at the hotel when we arrived at around 4pm on Friday and everyone was gone from the hotel Sunday by 2pm, I'll be leaving to go there early as well as leaving to come back early. I think the trip down there I will take the car through the Dragon, then just straight interstate trying to make good time on the way back

Okay so definitely no beech for us. But what time Thursday u talking? Cus if we leave Thursday I will either have ti reuqest it off or leave at 10pm. After I get off work. Drive overnight sleep a couple hours then go to meet.

Its a 10-12 hour drive depending on route and stops. I don't want to leave at some crazy morning hour, but I'd say I'd like to leave around 9ish maybe? Definitely in the morning. I'd like to take the whole entire day and not feel rushed or pressed for time. Thats what makes the drive fun. Just you, your car, your buddies, and open road.

Yea I dont mins hauling ass if I have to. But id like to take It slow and easy as my car will be the lowest I've taken It since I don't have my subs anymore.

Also I need to fix my cruise control its been broken for a year lol.

If you're caravanning in as large of a group as we had last year, you'll never use cruise control. And most people will be low, so we really take road conditions seriously
